No matter the circumstances, little newborns will always eat, poop, and *hopefully* sleep during their new born photography session. This little guy was quite the eater, but not so much the sleeper we were hoping for. However, we did catch him in a nice little nap that was just long enough to snap a few gorgeous images for his mommas. He came in for a session along with his twin sister baby Amelie, but since they were both so adorable, I decided to give them each their own post. After all, they are each their own person.

World, meet Olivier.

Gosh do I love the look of squishy babies while they peacefully sleep! Those smooshy lips and delicate lashes..

Those nails! They are so tiny and precious, the way they wrap their little gingers around yours..

 A feature often forgotten about little baby newborns is their fine delicate hair. It often changes colours in the first few months and eventually the texture changes completely.

Another case of baby fever has just been spotted.. I’m a sucker for those scrumptious baby lips, the way they pout so subtly while they sleep; Swoon!  Just look at that preciously adorable little baby face! Those delicate eye lashes, those plump milky lips, and the adorable peach fuzz that accompanies them..  If this doesn’t make you want to be come a parent (again), I don’t know what will!

 And how can you not love these little toes!? The way they just fit together perfectly.. Don’t under-estimate this little guy though. It took great effort to get him to hold still for this one. The magic of Photoshop at it’s best 😉 [behind-the-scenes we had three sets of hands wrapped up in there with his little piggies!]

Little baby Olivier and his twin sister Amélie closed their eyes for a fraction of a minute; just long enough for me to snap one adorable image that their parents will cherish forever. I can’t wait for them to receive their huge wall print! Just look at how perfect they are 🙂

Maternity Portraits are the most flatteringly captured between weeks 26-36, Newborn Photography Sessions are best held within the first 2 weeks from birth, and Mommy&Baby portrait sessions are typically within the first month after baby is born.
