It is hard to see past the ‘ugly’ of an unconventional location sometimes, and it is so nice when a family trusts me with my vision to make the beautiful happen around them! For those of you who don’t, I present to you the proof that an overgrown pathway behind a shopping mall can absolutely yield beautiful photos with the right photographer behind a capable lens.

Clients often ask me why I schedule outdoor portrait sessions “so late” when they include babies and toddlers since it is usually at or after their bedtime. This session right here shows you that perfect golden light I strive for; to create the beautiful halos in your hair, to have beautiful subtle shadows (not harsh ones), and especially in the summer it isn’t as hot out and much more comfortable for everyone (the specific day this shoot took place is was 40 degrees during the day, but after 7PM it thankfully dropped to a comfortable 26). And kids are having so much fun they don’t get tired until the drive home. I could seriously talk about this all day so I will save the detailed explanations for another post and let you get to the beautiful photos. Without further ado…

How do I book a photo session?

I’d love to capture your growing family and new baby moments. Use the contact page to send a message to set up a phone consultation so we can discuss details and customize your experience. Maternity Photo Sessions are best had between weeks 27-37 when mom-to-be is still feeling great & has a sizable bump, and there are many gowns and tops available for use during your session (studio or outdoors). Newborn Photo Sessions are best held within the first 2 weeks from birth.
