Mama to Be Cynthia | Nepean Photographer

Outdoor portraits are available all year round, even during the cold winter months, with so much beauty available in the Ottawa area. Especially because pregnancy dictates the timeline, sometimes that means we are forced to get a little creative and get the most out of a shorter session to avoid frozen fingers. I would know, I did my own maternity session in the middle of December in a boatneck gown!

There are many different options, like splitting up the session into short segments at different spots (fun in the snow, hot chocolate at the cafe, and a beautiful stroll along the path) which is a very loved option for family portraits because they make for great story albums! Another great choice is to add variety to the gallery by swapping your wardrobe throughout the session and walking a little further to find different scenery. I’ve even got a change-tent you can use if the car is too far. Here is a sneak peek of the possibilities!

World, meet Mama to be Cynthia and her wonderful growing family.

Here are a few favourites from the sessions.

How do I book a photo session?

I’d love to capture your growing family and new baby moments. Use the contact page to send a message to set up a phone consultation so we can discuss details and customize your experience. Maternity Photo Sessions are best had between weeks 27-37 when mom-to-be is still feeling great & has a sizable bump, and there are many gowns and tops available for use during your session (studio or outdoors). Newborn Photo Sessions are best held within the first 2 weeks from birth, and Parent&Baby sessions are typically within the first month after baby is born.
